The Mechanical Properties of Stellite 21

Stellite 21 alloy exhibits excellent mechanical properties that make it promising for a wide range of applications in multiple industrial sectors.

First, Stellite 21 alloy stands out for its excellent wear resistance. It can resist friction, wear, and abrasive erosion, so it has significant advantages in manufacturing valve parts, bearings, and cutting tools.

Secondly, the alloy also has excellent corrosion resistance. It is resistant to corrosive media such as acids, alkalis and salt water, making it widely used in chemical, oil and natural gas industries.

Finally, Stellite 21 alloy can maintain strength and stability in high-temperature environments. This characteristic makes it an indispensable material in aerospace, energy, and high-temperature technology, especially when it is necessary to meet the requirements of both high-temperature and abrasion resistance

.

The Application of Stellite 21

1. Oil and Gas Industry: Stellite 21 is frequently chosen for crafting parts that withstand harsh conditions and corrosive substances like valves, sealing rings, pump casings, and wellhead equipment.

2. Chemical Industry: Stellite 21 is widely applied in equipment and pipelines due to its superb corrosion resistance, making it suitable for valves, pumps, and pipeline joints that face acidic or alkaline substances, as well as high temperatures and pressures.

3. Aerospace Applications Stellite 21 makes engine components such as turbine blades, nozzles, and combustion chamber parts, offering durability against high temperatures and wear.

4. Power Generation: Stellite 21 alloy is commonly used in power stations for coal mill components, boiler nozzles, and coal grinding rollers, where it withstands the wear caused by pulverized coal and high temperatures.

Except for industries, Stellite 21 can be used in water pump parts, chemical reactors, and other areas where high wear and corrosion resistance are needed.
