On January 20th, a set of cobalt alloy wearing bushes for a centrifugal pump, customized for the paper & pulp industry, completed a full-process quality inspection at SYTOP and is ready for shipment. This set of wearing bushes includes the ST 12 threaded bushing for abrasive media and the ST6 lower flange bush. This is a nested solution tailored to the highly abrasive, erosive conditions encountered in paper & pulp centrifugal pumps.

Centrifugal pumps in the papermaking industry continuously convey pulp containing fibers and impurities. The bush will be damaged by abrasive wear and persistent erosion, leading to frequent shutdowns for replacement of spare parts. The shutdown will impact production efficiency and increase maintenance costs. SYTOP wear-resistant bushes are made of various cobalt alloys. The ST 6 lower flange bush outer diameter precisely matches the inner diameter of the ST 12 threaded bush, creating dual-layer protection.

ST 12 has high-hardness carbide phases that resist abrasion and erosion from pulp particles, making it suitable for extreme conditions such as coarse pulp pumps and waste paper pulp conveyance. The inner ST 6 layer balances toughness and sealing properties, securely locking flange gaps to prevent pulp penetration while withstanding operational vibration loads.

From material selection to dimensional machining, this batch of wearing bushes fully complies with the customer's drawing requirements. The QC team meticulously verifies dimensional accuracy and nesting fit for each piece, ensuring every product meets client needs. After adopting the cobalt alloy, the customer significantly extended equipment continuous operation time while reducing maintenance downtime frequency.
